Hijacking the symbol of rage and frustration

To promote that VOO telecom has the fastest internet of Belgium, we hijacked the symbol of rage and frustration when it comes to slow internet: the buffering wheel.

Execution

To do so we set up collaborations with Belgium’s biggest news sites and streaming services. And we added our line of code to the code of their buffering wheel.

The buffering wheel as a new advertising medium

By doing so, for the first time ever, whenever somebody was uploading or streaming video and a buffering wheel appeared, the VOO message appeared too: Load up to 2 times faster with VOO. This message appeared on the actual buffering wheels after 1.5 seconds. Because data shows that VOO clients never have to wait more than 1.5 seconds.
