50 years of Quick, Belgium's most famous fastfood restaurant. 50 years of Giant, Belgian's favorite burger. And 50 years of people trying to discover the secret recipe of its iconic Giant sauce. So, how could Quick celebrate these 50 years with its biggest fans? By surprising the entire Quick community. By making the recipe of the iconic secret Giant sauce available for purchase, as an NFT.
What the hell is NFT?
First, we took the CEO of Quick to a sound studio to record the authentic real recipe of the Giant
sauce, only known by few.
Then, the soundwave of this recording was digitally transformed into a digital work of art.
Which was then transformed into an NFT and put up for auction to the highest bidder on
foundation.app, an invite-only NFT marketplace.
To tease the Quick community a transaction Hash-ID spoiler was launched. Within a few hours, Giant
fans decrypted it and ‐ as planned ‐ started sharing it.
Resulting in a huge bidding war.
Highest bid, the equivalent of 27.755 euro at the moment of purchase.
(for an NFT ‐ png of a soundwave of a recipe ‐ crazy.)
